Weighing In - Week Ten

For “Weighing In”, you should post the following things: (1) your weight loss, maintenance or GAIN (yes, own up to it if it's true) for the past week (2) your personal goal for the rest of the week (try to restrict it to one) and (3) your anticipated non-food reward for achieving that goal. Since it seems we are all choosing to weigh-in on Tuesdays, I will create a post for every new week the day before we weigh-in (Monday). This would be a good post to add encouraging words for other individuals as well.

Ack!! I'm up TWO pounds! Fortunately, I know why... snacks and makeshift meals (like Pizza Hut) while Brad was away, Red Robin with a friend on Friday, Chili's with Brad on Saturday. It's like Brad left me with rope to hang myself! (As if it's HIS fault.) I'm a grown woman, I should be able to take care of myself. Sadly, I made poor (yet intentional) choices, and I must live with the crappy consequences. My goal for this week is going to be an honest attempt at NO NAUGHTY SNACKS, as well as no restaurants.

It happens to the best of us Kris. Hey, you just gave your body something to fight for! With that being said, I bet you will have a great week!

So I'm at the same weight...thank god!! I had a hard time staying on track last week. With flying in super late and my eating/sleep schedules completely out of whack it was tough! This week I have re-committed myself! I also signed up for the 40 mile 2day breast cancer walk next May. I'm a little intimidated by the 40 mile thing, but it's a goal in site and something to train for. I'm kind of looking at it like a "biggest loser" style. I'm pretty excited :)

Sara - wow, that cancer walk sounds pretty cool! Good for you! Are you walking on your own, or doing it with someone else? Yeah, my weight is the same today, so it wasn't like "one of those freakish days"... but so far this week, so good. I expect a good outcome at this rate. I'm even eating a HEALTHY snack as I type.

Yowza! Healthy snacks AND a 40 mile walk!? I don't have anything nearly as fantastic as all that!

Well, I am down another 2 lbs, for a total of 188, so that is pretty exciting for me. I really think that the meat substitutes I've been eating are helping a lot. I feel like I get a delicious chicken nugget or corn dog...but it's at a lot less fat! (More in the tips on that)

My goal for the week--keep at it!

Awesome! Kris, I'm glad that you're back and the "freakish day" is long gone :) Lindsey, you are kickin' butt babe! You both are doing so awesome! Keep it up!

The walk is in Chicago. It's actually the Avon breast cancer walk so I will have a few people there. I don't know how that will work though. These girls first said they wanted to train and now they are approaching it from the "you don't have to finish" standpoint. What's the point? Yeah so I raise $1800 to walk. Yeah so I signed up. The point is that you committed to not only yourself, the people who donated to YOUR WALK and the cause itself. I can't see not finishing unless I'm dying. I don't care how hard it is! I am intimidated by it, but I think that's what is going to push my into overdrive. Like I said, "biggest loser style" baby!

I know someone that did the 3 day walk here in Michigan. She really enjoyed it, even though it was hard. Her biggest tip was to wear long pants because the asphalt reflects sunlight. Also, make sure that the seams are on the outside of the legs to avoid chub rub!
