Gripes - Week Three

Go right ahead and gripe! We all have the option to read them or not depending on how we feel. If gripes don't fill you with negative energy, sometimes it's nice to know how much the people around you are suffering, too. Yeah, it sounds bad, but you know it's true...... ;)

I hate it when people sabotage you!! They know you are eating well and they know that you have restrictions yet they always have bad food available when you go to their house. For instance, at every family gathering I go to I have to hear Amy complain about how I never eat at her house. She is so loud and obnoxious and rather confrontational. It seems like my answer is never good enough for her yet it's the same response I say to her EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! You would think this woman would take a ride on the clue bus, but apparently not!!! How hard is it to serve chicken over pizza or to simply have fruit and veggies? Yet when I bring these things she gets mad and calls it "rabbit food". Yet this is really what her kids like to snack on. Interesting huh? Oh and to expand on this, I hate it when people make you go into detail about why you don't want the cookie or why pizza isn't cool with you. If I said "no" I would think that should mean "no". I guess some people just don't care to understand. Or rather they are so inconsiderate that they are oblivious to their behavior and how it makes others feel. This is really hard for me because sometimes I feel like I get attitudes from people. It's almost like they think I can't do it or that this won't last and me eating healthier is an inconvenience to them or even worse, it's funny to them. That ticks me off!! They are worse than the cart scopers and we all know how I feel about them!!

Yeah, I hate it when skinny people (like Amy) don't even have a drop of empathy in their body to understand that even though they themselves don't have to struggle with weight issues, some people do. In fact, the skinny people are the freaks when over half of Americans are overweight. Why do they think they rule the world and have the right to question or override another's food preference? And that reminds me, I hate people who think overweight people just "need some self control" as if they themselves possessed it rather than merely convenient genes!!! True, some people work hard to maintain a healthy weight, but usually they aren't the ones who are clueless about what it feels like to be someone who is overweight and struggling. It's those skinny bastards that are born that way and then feel all suprerior about their bodies. Aholes.

Phew. That felt nice to type.

I think MOST people aren't "eating right". First, there are the "blessed" ones with the great metabolisms, then there are the ones who aren't trying and serve unhealthy foods in their homes or eat them in front of us. When I was successfully eating right, it was a strain visiting my sister in laws....there were ALWAYS cookies, sugarbuns, or (in Vegas) my sister-in-law always wanted to eat at the most fattening fast food places. It is indeed an uphill struggle. I am amazed at Kristen's strength and success and I am truly impressed whenever I read that any of you other gals has lost a pound or even stayed even. I am truly proud. I know how hard it is!!!
