Well, it was Thanksgiving... what's the point? I skipped a week, true, but it was difficult preparing to host my first Thanksgiving dinner party AND finish up the first trimester! But things are settled down now... second trimester is off to a fine start, all the dished are finally clean, and Brad and I have eaten almost all of the leftovers. Things are almost back to normal. One little difference, though; I've broken out the old journal and have started Weight Watchers again (a process that truly has no end, but everyone should go into it knowing that fact). I'm going to the 5:30 meeting today, and afterwards I will hit the gym. At least until Christmas, I intend to follow the plan properly. So who's with me? :) Well, even if we're all just pluggin' away at our own paces, I wish the best of luck to everyone! I'll be back in another week to give you all the update! :)
On another note, since no one ever leaves a gripe or question, I'm just going to drop those posts. Really, hardly a tip or trick has been left, but I will still keep that post up since I like to leave a tip and or trick of the week.

Do keep the tips and tricks! I don't really have any to share, but i definitely enjoy learning from your WW mastery!
So, for my goal by Nov. 20...total failure. I think I've lost about 3 lbs since I set that goal. But, I'm well aware of why I yo-yoed so much and why I didn't meet the goal.
This week I'm down 1 lb from last week, so that's good. But, I'm not sure if my Thanksgiving feast has set in yet!
So, for now I am going on a hiatus-kinda. I will still try to eat well and use the new habits I have formed, but I really need to join a gym. I've learned that I don't eat as well as I do when I also work out. And I definietly can't join a gym until after the new year. So, I will continue as I have (of course I will still post and check in on everyone else as I normally would). But, I won't expect to lose any weight. If I do that will be great, but I'm not going to plan on it. So, we'll see how that works and after the new year I will set a new long term goal. For now, it's just about maintaining weight and habits until then.
By the way, I'm currently eating a stir fry I made with frozen veggies and morningstar frozen chicken strips-yummy and easy combo!
One more thing-I tripped upon a website called topsecretrecipes.com. It's a guy who figures out how to clone popular recipes form restaurants. He has also released a low fat and a no fat cookbook. I'm really excited to check these out. If you get a second, give it a look. Some recipes are free on the website, you can buy other individually for about 75 cents or so, or complete cookbooks are available.
Good idea, Linds! I'll put a link to it on the "index" page.
As for me, I thought I'd give an update, even though it's only been three days. But hey, any day that one sticks to a diet is a good day, right? I've been able to follow the plan and journal since the start of the week, and have even resisted the temptation to eat Brad's cookies and any goodies offered to me at school. I've worked out twice already this week, but haven't overdone anything so that I don't get sore and have to stop. Soooo, things are good. Maybe if I keep checking in and leaving updates, I will feel more motivated to keep up the good work. It's so sucky and difficult during this time of year. Too bad I don't live near you, Linds, or we could go to the gym together. Sigh.
