Does anyone buy those little WW chocolates? I tried them once, but ate the whole bag immediately so it didn't work out so well for me. They ARE really delicious, though, and have a lot of fiber... so long as you limit yourself. I can't do it....
Yuppers...love the coconut ones. They are SUPER dangerous though. I try not to buy them. And if I do it's because I'm dying for something sweet and I don't want to use 3pts for a york. Even then I try to buy the individual bars rather than the bag.
So...anyone have any tips for eating healthy while traveling? I tried sooo hard! I bought a giant thing of water for the hotel room. I constantly refilled my water bottles so I drank more water than anything. I packed a ton of healthy snacks for the trip. I even had plans to make it to a market to buy fresh fruit for breakfast, but that's harder said than done when I was in the city. I seriously have no idea how city folks buy groceries. It's not like there is a Meijers around. I was sooo lost!! To make it worse, I pretty much had to eat out every meal (except for two meals) for the 10 days I was gone. I was so overwhelmed that I just gave up and ate for convenience. Any tips would be awesome!
When I went to New Orleans I tried to follow the plan the best I could, and I did end up losing 1 1/2 lbs while I was there. I made sure to choose restaurant meals made of seafood or chicken (mainly seafood), I requested steamed veggies, all sauces on the side, and, of course, only drank water. Sounds easy enough, but much of that deep south food is double-deep grilled, too... so I planned activities that included a great deal of walking every day to counteract the dietary disasters. I also restricted myself to only eating meals (3) rather than packing snacks. I guess this might not be a helpful list of tricks, but it's really just an expression of my experience. But, since it worked out so well, I feel good about it.
It sounds like I need to work on the will-power thing. I really only ate twice a day. I know it's bad to skip breakfast, but for timing reasons I didn't eat much. I was super active too. We were in SF so I hiked up what I call "mini mountains" several times a day. My feet STILL HURT :) it was worth it though. My guess is that my weight gain was because we were constantly running and I didn't sit down and actually eat properly.
One good thing that came of the trip is a reminder of how uncomfortable I am on airplanes. I know Chris is too. And when you sit the two of us together it is REALLY uncomfy. And...I was tired of being the "big girl" at the wedding. This 5 pound gain along with the reminders was the kick in the ass I needed. I will say though, that the "big girl" had an easier time hiking up the "mini mountains" than some skinny folks :) Go me!!

Yeah, I like the coconut ones. The caramel ones are ok, too. But, 1 point per candy isn't really all that great of a balance.
If you can keep it to only 1 piece, they're good....but I think they are dangerous and are more likely to be bad to keep in the house.
I've recently tried Ones. They're individually wrapped prunes. Very tasty! And 5 to a serving--much more satisfying than 1 lousy piece of candy!
Is it just a prune? Or is it wrapped in chocolate or something? ;)
No, it's just a prune. But it's very sweet, so you can kinda trick yourself into thinking it's candy.
