Does anyone stop eating at a certain time of night? WW's official statement is that you can eat at any time of night, just be careful of what it is you're eating. Some people, though, believe that if you stop eating by 7pm that it is good for a diet. I've tried it and have nothing to say for or against. What do you think?

Has anyone ever tried hunger suppresent pills? I did years ago... they did nothing for me. I was just wondering if I was the only one. I also tried some kind of expensive liquid weight-loss thing back in college. It cost me hundreds of dollars, and no results. Just thought I'd share.

Mom, in week one you posted that you wrote yourself a short letter about your feelings... have you read that letter since?

Writing a letter to yourself is a great way to document your emotions. Journaling WHAT you eat is good, but for some people journaling about HOW they feel when they eat something bad works better. We all know when we eat something we shouldn't, but we WANT to eat those things, so journaling has a flaw. But we DON'T want to feel bad, so journaling emotions--how you feel when you eat poorly AND how you feel when you eat well--can be a more effective method for weight control. Has anyone tried that before? It's worked for quite a few of my members in the past...... I recommend it to everyone.

I can't say that I stop eating at a certain time of night. I think the point behind that is that your metabolism slows down when you are sleeping therefore it is SUPER HARD to burn a lot of fat/calories. If you eat right before you go to bed you are basically putting a brick of food in your belly. I can't say it helps or doesn't help as for as weight loss. I will say that if it's poor food you will gain at a pretty fast rate.

As for hunger suppressant pills, yeah I tried those. It just made me hungrier because I concentrated so much on if the pills were working or not. I also tried the liquid weight loss in college...big waste.

I think I'm going to try the emotion-journaling out. I seem to feel like the biggest looser when I eat bad. I think if I can constantly remind myself of this it will help drastically. Thanks for the tip.
