Hello everyone! I know it doesn't look like much, but since you all expressed interest in creating our own "Weight Watchers" type group, I finally got around to starting something. To make this work, you will need to "publicly" post at least once a week, preferably the following things: (1) your weight loss, maintance or GAIN (yes, own up to it if it's true) for the week (2) your personal goal for the week (try to restrict it to one) and (3) your anticipated non-food reward for achieving your goal for the week. Because I will be the "leader" of this blog, I will create a post for every week starting on Thursday. You can make your own "weigh-in" day whatever day of the week you would like, just so long as it's consistent... in order to log your weight and any other comments for the week, be sure to COMMENT on the post rather than create your own post. That will keep things neat and organized.
What I will do: FIRST, create a post every Thursday titled "Weighing In: Week ???" for each of us to comment on our official weight news, goals and reward. This would be a good post to add encouraging words for individuals. I, too, will be weighing etc. SECOND, create a post every Thursday with weekly "Tips and Tricks" according to the Weight Watchers program. This would be a good post to comment on regarding your own tips, tricks, recipes, discoveries, and anything else that would be positive. THIRD, create a post every Thursday titled "Gripes" for anything that's not positive, hehehe.
What you will do: Above all, to thine own self be true. In other words, be honest about both the good and the bad. I'm not asking that everyone reveal their current weight or the number of pounds you want to drop. If you want to, that's cool, but don't feel obligated if it would make you feel uncomfortable. Just publishing your loss/gain is good enough. ALSO, choose a time of day you plan to weigh yourself on your chosen weigh-in day and stick to whatever the scale says AT THAT TIME, even if you were an entire two pounds lighter earlier in the day. That is all part of the program. I'm not trying to preach or be a meanie, but I know that, when followed properly, this program WILL work for every one of us. I KNOW we can make our goals working together!!!! Remember, THERE IS ALWAYS A CHOICE. I choose to succeed... are you with me?

I officially weigh in on Tuesdays at 5:30pm. I rededicated this week, so I have no weight news to report until next Tuesday. However, my goal for the week is to follow the "twenty minute" rule, and my reward will be a new pair (or three) of my favorite socks.
Hi Kristen! I will also make my official weigh-in day tuesday. Tuesday, August 14 will be my first official weigh-in day. At that time I will come up with my reward for the following week of torture----er, I mean eating right. :)
Well Tuesday it is! I think it would be best for all of us to weigh in together (if possible) that way Tuesdays can be one fun/exciting day!
I weigh in on Mondays (I know , boo). But my 12 week segment is almost over (3 weeks left) so I'll switch over to match everyone then. I weighed in this morning at 199 lbs, down 1 from last week. So, I have 3 lbs to lose in 3 weeks to meet my goal. I'm feelin' good about it! My goal this week is to journal properly all week long. I have a bad habit of getting lazy and not writing everything down. But not this week!
HOORAY FOR LINDSAY! That's wonderful, a whole pound!!! At that rate, you'll definitely make your goal in three weeks! I added a tip about journaling under tips and tricks just for YOU.
Okay, here goes: My official starting weight is 213. I still don't weigh as much as when I started on Trimspa, though. However, it's bad enough! Very uncomfortable moving around. That is 66 lbs gained since my lowest of 147 last year. Kristen, don't tell anyone outside of our little group my weight, ok? That means Brad, too. I bought ten lottery tickets to reward myself with next week on Tuesday. I get to scratch off one ticket for every pound lost. I hope I will need to buy a lot more tickets soon!!
I must sing the praises of the "twenty minute rule"! I lost three pounds this week and am enjoying my cute little teal ankle socks. Yes, they are a little warm, but I know they'll be great in a few weeks. My goal for the upcoming week is to lose two pounds. If I succeed, I will skip out on the Freshmen Orientation next Wednesday (for which I already set up an easy-out) to attend my association's summer social. If I don't succeed, I will have a rather dull evening full of fourteenagers, haha.
I am weighing in today at 276.
My long term goal is to be under 250.
My reward is to scratch off a lottery ticket for each pound lost per week.
April is typing this for me because...the baseball game is on!!
